P!geno – South Tyrolean Pinot Noir

PINOT NOIR P!GENO

The grapes come from three different vineyards in the municipalities of Eppan and Kaltern. The majority of the grapes grow at Stroblhof at around 500 meters above sea level. Another vineyard at a similar altitude is located in the neighboring municipality of Kaltern, while a parcel in the Sattel vineyard is located at around 400 meters above sea level.

TYPE OF SOIL

Red clay with limestone and porphyry rock at Stroblhof and predominantly calcareous soil structures in the other locations.

GRAPE VARIETY

Mixture of Pinot noir clones, Guyot training system.
